What are some of the most shocking Face Turns in the history of Pro Wrestling?



I'll go with one that shocked the hell out of me, Randy Orton won the WHC from Chris Benoit a day before at Summer Slam 2004. The night after on Raw, He defended his newly won championship vs Benoit again, in a rematch from the previous night. Randy Orton retained the belt, then after the match Evoultion came out, seems to be a Congrats type of thing for Randy, but instead they attack him and thus a week or 2 later Randy Orton is a face. I gotta say, I didn't see it coming.

Kennedy didn't turn face. People just cheer for him because they like how he yells on the mic and repeats his name. He's more in between then an actual face.

Wow Good Question, I will name a few.

Shocking Face Turn (Not in any Order)
-Randy Orton turning on Evolution.
-Hulk Hogan returning w/ the Red & Yellow (First time after NWO on WCW)
-Kurt Angle's 2006 run on Smackdown.
-John Cena turning face on Smackdown and still face till this very day.



and two that I never understood, The Great Khali's run as face now and Umaga's a while back (It was short but still I scratch my head at that.

Orton's face turn and also angle's 2006 reign when he wrestled mainly against mark henry. That was great!

Is there a such thing as a shocking face turn? Orton was forced to turn face because he got the boot from evolution. Angle turned face becuz of Batista injury and there werent enough faces on the SD roster at the time. Hogan again Hall and Nash turned on him forcing a face turn. So with this said I acnt think of any shocking face turns off the top of my head.

But not to be a downer i'll throw one in there The Rock turning face after being with the corporation.
