Some of the hype I think is scripted, but outcomes and actual fighting is completely real.

Yeah, ufc must have a few scripted parts to it. the rest is pretty much real fighting.

i agree with darksage. the only scripted thing about the ufc is the hype. but i can assure you that brock lesnar getting submitted was very real.

U have to have hype though, without it it's just two guys no one knows beating the shit out of each other, hype is the thing that gets the audience invested in the fights it makes em wanna see who's gonna win and that's what draws money. Isn't it funny though that the UFC is more dramatic and intersting than WWE despite the fact they can't control who's gonna win or lose whereas WWE is entirely scripted.

I don't think it was scripted. If it was, Lesnar would have won his debut fight. They had a lot of money invested in him with advertisements and how he is the best thing to ever come to UFC, but then he loses. Bad investment opportunity for them if it was scripted.
