I agree or at least send him to Japan and once he sharpened up his skills, I could see TNA resigning him. But they would never mention how he was a ref. before in TNA, if it ever came down that way.

I feel like it's a common theme for TNA. They sign a wrestler to an immediate storyline and when the storyline is over, they have nothing to do with them. They end up releasing them two months later.
