A new article in the UK Sun, written by Paul Heyman, discusses the current state of WWE and who he thinks is their best performer. The following are excerpts from Heyman's column:

"There's a tangible buzz surrounding World Wrestling Entertainment programming right now. They're shaking things up."

"While "new" for the sake of "new" is not good, the statement being made by WWE to its audience is: "We're taking chances, we're trying new things, we're giving the ball to new players and seeing who scores."

"(Edge's) charisma alone could carry an entire show, and, bluntly, he's had Smackdown on his shoulders for longer than most people realize but (Adam) Copeland's portrayal of the scheming, man*pulative, opportunistic Edge is played in such a way that you simply want to see him get beat or perhaps more importantly, beat up.

Edge is entertaining. But WWE has slowed Edge down abit. He can work the mic, and is a good heel. Also a good face. But since he is heel. He knows how to work a crowed and WWE should let Edge do that more. Edge is a great wrestler too. But I guess WWE hasen't put Edge against a wrestler a good wrestler Edge has taken his tone down abit. Except Undertaker. His match with his was a Edge classic.

but i dont think he's the best wwe has as of right now i'd say either john cena or triple h

edge is a good wrestler but hes not the best in the wwe and he cant carry a show he just proved that twice this year.


undertaker,hhh,orton,hbk, are the best in the business today

Edge could so carry a match. He is more entertaining then HHH. And you can't say against Heyman either. Paul knows who are good wrestlers and not. He is the best that came from wrestling. He got ECW to where it is, without using house name wrestlers.


Cena could not carry a show. If you let Cena carry a match you would be watching the same show every week, and nothing would ever change.

That's what i ment. Edge can so. He can do both. Tell me a match that Edge hasen't carried? He makes wrestling look better then most of WWE maineventers. Edge and Undertaker TLC match was so awesome. Nobody carried that match because they both look good and did there part.

I never thought Edge sucked as champ. He was the only reason I watched SD. Besides something SD had good matches. But with Moore and Jimmy not being good. And MVP being misused. Then there really was so point. Of and Undertaker being out to.
