John Morrison Push?/ Dolph Ziggler Discussion

Hello, this is my first thread on these wrestling forums, and I 'd like to discuss John Morrison's possible(or probable) Main Event Push, and Dolph Ziggler, with his chase of the Intercontinental Championship.

First off, let's discuss John Morrison. Ever since, re-debuting on Smackdown as a face after the WWE Draft 2009, John Morrison has been on a role, showing his true athletic talent in the ring, and how over he is with the fans. Now, many are saying that he deserves the World Heavyweight Championship, and that he is most likely going to get it. Now, I agreee, John Morrison has been on an impressive role, but... it just isn't enough for me. He hasn't had any main fueds, and he hasn't been on basically all of the pay-per views, this summer. I think that John Morrison needs a few more intresting fueds, and a little more time, to finalize his push, and prove that he's Main Event material.

Next, and finally, I want to discuss Dolph Ziggler. Now, like John Morrison, after being drafted to SD during the WWE Draft 2009, he has made an impact, and has pushed himself, from the low-card jobber position, all the way up to the mid-card position, but is he really all-that? Now, here's the thing, I'm not saying that Dolph Ziggler is terrible, I'm just saying that he isnt "that" "that" good, and his recent push to the chase of the intercontinental title, has made me question whether or not, the Smackdown creative team is paying attention, to the truly other talented superstars on the brand, such as Matt Hardy(although he is injured), Finlay, and more importantly Kane(he deserves the I.C title). Now, let me say, that I think these 3 superstars are much more talented than Dolph Ziggler, and should really be in his place right now.

What are your thoughts on these two topics?

As for Morrison sure he really hasn't done much since getting BACK on SD but he has done alot so far since he has been in the company. As for winning the WHC I think after Jeff leaves he should feud on and off with Punk and other top guys on Smackdown, while they give Punk a nice run with the belt. Now for him winning the belt imo it should be at WM and made into something special which WWE hasn't really done lately when people first win the title ie: Punk and Jeff. Also I think having it struggle to win it then eventually win it at WM against Punk(hopefully) would get him over greatly as a Top face on SD more than he is now.

As for Dolph, I am like you, not really sold on him yet, but I do think he has a bit of potential. I don't think he should win the title at SS because Rey just won it and I'm not really a fan or short reigns unless they make it some sort of angle/storyline. That also I think giving Rey a good run with it actually make the IC title mean something more than it has in recent year. If he had to win the IC I probably wouldn't have a problem if he won it around....Breaking Point or Hell in a Cell PPV.

Well it seemed like Morrison was gonna get a push but I think he's back to the mid card for now, but I think Ziggler is the next IC Champ.

morrison is in that wierd area where he is about to be in the main event, but cant be a midcarder anymore either. they seem to have had their hands full with the jeff hardy situation on smackdown, so i can see why they are being hesitant to push morrison up to the main event just yet (although i think after jeff leaves morrison will be bumped up). but at the same time, he isnt really a midcarder anymore having beaten a world champion (cm punk a few weeks ago), so for ppv matches it would be wierd for him to be wrestling midcarders. again, i think after the punk/hardy feud ends we will see morrison bumped up with more interesting storylines/feuds and more main event matches.

I see Morrison getting the pushed first especially if Jeff Hardy leaves this leaves Morrison to be big. As for Ziggler there is a chance he might win the money in the back if not next year he might win it I think they are just taking there time on Ziggler.

i really don't see why people like ziggler so much
he's not all that and he doesn't deserve the ic title IMO
i know people are gonna cry cuz i'm saying this but it's true
ziggler is NOT that good

they should have morrison feud with kane for a couple weeks goin into summerslam then have morrison get a big win after kicking out of a chokeslam

I'd actually agree with you on this... However, I see potential for Ziggler to be very good a few years from now. He needs some refinment around the edges. I definitely don't think he should have the IC (or any other title) right now, but give it another six months and my opinion might change on that.

As far as Morrison goes. I'd agree with what seems to be the general feeling in this thread so far... he's kind of stuck in between the mid-card and the main event. There's not a doubt in my mind that he's gonna be a full fledged main-eventer relatively soon and certainly has the potential to reach the upper echelon of superstars on the same level as your perenial main eventers (Undertaker, Triple H, Edge, Jericho, Orton, etc...).

I was thinking they should do this with morrison aswell... i think that the next ppv after summerslam morrison could be about to win the title then kane interferes again and these two carry on feuding for a while.. morrison will then win the rumble and go on to mania to win the title

zigglers gimmick at first gave me a bad impression, but i was impressed to see his skills. although not incredible he's still a better wrestler then some main eventers. he's got shit loads of potential and he's a great heel, good on the mic and can really work the crowd. as for morrison, his skill is unbelievable, but i feel like he doesnt do enough to really truly be a baby face. he needs a really intense fued to put him over with crowd, then i think he'll be ready for more shots at the title, but not to win it yet.
