*Spoilers* WWE Smackdown Tapings for November 6th, 2009

    Source nodq.com

WWE taped this week's edition of WWE SmackDown tonight from the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, R.I. Special thanks to ProWrestling.net & reader Dennis Fanning for sending updates.

    WWE SmackDown (Airing Friday)
Undertaker opened the show. He cut a promo about Survivor Series. Chris Jericho came out and stated how finally after 10 years they were crossing paths. They got face to face and then it got physical with Taker getting the upper hand. A strong opener for the show!

The Rey Mysteiro and Batista video package was shown again.

    1. Dolph Ziggler and The Hart Dynasty over John Morrison and Cryme Time. Ziggler hit his finisher on Shad for the win. Morrison appeared to injure his ribs during the very early part of the match and tagged out quickly.

Josh Matthews conducted a sit down interview with Rey Mysterio. He spoke about Batista turning his back on him and vowed that Batista will see a side of Rey that he's never seen before.

    2. Beth Phoenix over Brittney Carter (New Jersey independent talent Brooke Carter).

    3. Drew McIntyre over Jimmy Wang Yang in another squash. Yang took a nasty spill before the bell when he was attacked by McIntyre. He got back up only to be squashed.

Batista did a quick backstage interview with Josh Matthews. When they did a close up of Dave's face you could see his lovely nose stud.

    4. Rey Mysterio over Mike Knox. A solid match. Rey won with the 619/Splash combo.

    5. R-Truth defeated C.M. Punk. R-Truth won thanks to a fast count by referee Scott Armstrong. Punk flipped post match and got on the mic and complained to the crowd.

Backstage with Mickie James, Layla, and Michelle McCool. McCool talked down to James, then gave it back to McCool, and also called Layla "Scary Spice."

A quick Batista/Hardy recap was shown.

A Wrestlemania 26 promo was shown.

Matt Hardy was interviewed by Josh Matthews.

    6. Matt Hardy over Batista via DQ. Batista dominated the match, but also received the first boring chants of the night. This was kind of a lackluster way to end the night.

im disapointed that jericho and taker arent going at it one on one. this is the first time they have ever wrestled (on tv at least) and it seems like this should be more of an event that a triple threat with big show in it also. this should be a wrestlemania match.

I'm really looking forward to the Hardy/Batista match. Hardy with the win, be it by DQ, it is still 1 in the W colum

Sounds good. R-Truth beating CM Punk.. interesting. This must be R-Truth's biggest win in the WWE.

It doesn't really sound like jobbing as much as it does carrying on this Scott Armstrong story. I hope this story is going somewhere however because it seems more like they have nothing to do with Punk right now and he is having a ridiculous feud with a referee. Maybe they are bringing in someone new or possibly someone back to serve as the muscle behind Armstrong. Maybe they are bringing Umaga back? I don't really know but I do hope its going somewhere good. R-Truth getting the win doesn't really bother me because the guy deserves credible wins and a push. In any other universe outside of the WWE, CM Punk vs. Ron Killings would be an epic match.

EDIT: Undertaker's not on the show again, just saying.

I don't quite understand. You guys see CM Punk fighting R Truth as being de pushed maybe its a push for R Truth. I mean when Randy Orton recently dropped out of the title seen to fight Kofi you guys didn't say Randy was getting de pushed but that Kofi was getting pushed. I mean maybe there are bigger plans here that we are yet to understand.

i totally agree with what your saying....however the problem with the example you used is that Randy Orton is and has been an established main eventer for a few years now. This has been CM Punks first STEADY main event push and for him to "drop" so suddenly seems a bit wierd to some.

What is actually pretty funny is that Punk and Matt Hardy were having these same type of main events like 2 months ago and I thought it was pretty good. Goes to show you that people won't just eat up what WWE tells them to cheer or boo and I think a "this is boring" chant is refreshing just to let everyone know we, "the universe," can tell how bad Batista actually performs in the ring. Bortista was a nickname that was well deserved and earned imo.
