I really don't see any other reason as to why WWE would create a new women's title. Women's wrestling has never been that high on WWE's list of priorities and why do we need another belt added to the already 41 belts in WWE? I mean "Knockout title" sounds better and more unique than "women's title" and i can't help but think that WWE caught notice of this and felt the need to create a "divas title" since they refer to their female wrestlers and divas...TNA refers to their females as knockouts. Just my two cents.

Oh and i really hope they have a unification match or something because they need to get rid of the women's belt on RAW to stop the confusion.

I thought. Woman's belt was for woman wrestlers. And maybe Diva's belt is for the best Diva. Which is why Victoria didn't win. She should be on RAW, winning that belt.

I kind of thought that too. The only way the Divas title should exist is that if it was only contested by actual divas, and the actual female wrestlers were on RAW. this being said, the prestige of the new title should not be held as high as the womans title. But i heard JR say on SD! that it was the equibvilent of the RAW title

Well of course JR's gonna say that, he has to put over the new title. I'd be happier if the women from RAW just went over to SD!, they unified the two titles and the women became exclusive to RAW. The women's division is thin enough as it and we really don't need two titles for them...We might as well bring back two light heavyweight titles while we're here.

the new title is basically a lower title for the eye candy divas but its a shame cause victoria and nattie should be on raw

no the knockout title was the answer to the womens title theres just alot of divas on smackdown(including ecw)

I don't get this whole "the divas title is for the divas and the women's title is for the wrestlers"...You do realise that the new divas title will be won and lost in wrestling matches! It's not like they'll be competing for it every week in bikini shows and diva dance offs. All female wrestlers in WWE = Divas.

the womens title iz way more prestigous den dat stupid knockout title the women who held include : The Fabulous Muhlah Lita Trish Status Sherri Martel and now Mickie James Beth Phinox and Candice Michelle

They should have one belt held by real wrestlers. Defended on both shows if need be. Until then I think that the actual wrestlers, not they eye candy, should be on RAW, where are real women's wrestler hold the belt. There is a lot of history in the Women's Championship. Bllllaaah. WWE has a whole lot of catching up to do to get to the TNA Knockout division
